Dr. Sudhir Pandya
Dr. Sudhir Pandya is a Canadian-trained Gastroenterologist with extensive experience in advanced endoscopy, digestive health, and medical leadership. Originally from Kenya, he completed his medical training there before moving to Canada in 1987. He trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto and completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at Western University.
Over his career, Dr. Pandya has held multiple leadership roles, including Vice President of Medical Staff, Chief of Medicine, and Program Director for Medicine at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital–Halton Healthcare Services. He also contributed to provincial planning initiatives for endoscopy services with the Ministry of Health.
In 2016, Dr. Pandya joined the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, where he helped establish a regional call service and introduced innovations such as carbon dioxide insufflation to improve patient comfort and enhance procedural efficiency. His leadership extended to serving as President of the Medical Staff Association, member of the Medical Advisory Committee, and board member. During this time, he earned an EMBA in Health and Life Sciences from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and completed recertification in Gastroenterology through the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Today, Dr. Pandya is dedicated to providing full-scope gastroenterology and liver disease services to the rapidly growing North Halton region—an area with significant need for local specialist care. His modern outpatient endoscopy clinic is equipped with new technology and fully meets the Ministry of Health standards for an Integrated Community Health Services Centre in Endoscopy.
Dr. Pandya remains committed to advancing access, modernizing care, and building a strong local gastroenterology service for the community.
